There's always a bunch of (Indian) people who claim, "I don't watch Bollywood movies because they are not artistic..." or "Because it's too much drama..." or "Too many songs!" and so on. I have a few things to say to you:
1. LET BOLLYWOOD BE! Man! It's called Bollywood for a reason. Not everyone is interested in working all day, and when it comes to leisure, using their minds to understand a complicated plot of some movie, and having to pay for it too! Sometimes, all the Indian audience appreciates is a little bit of humour, a few good songs and one or two dramatic scenes (coz what's life without drama?)
2. Quit comparing Bollywood with Hollywood. They are two different industries. Sure they both make movies. But the audiences are different. Furthermore, if Bollywood tries to stick to Hollywood's norms, Bollywood would lose it's identity and soul.
3. I do understand that there are quite a few movies that are...er...too much. In order to save me some writing space, watch some review videos by Kanan Gill. You shall understand:

I feel sometimes people who live abroad appreciate Bollywood more than people who live in India! I LOVE Bollywood movies! The mindless story telling takes me to a journey where I feel like I am part of the movie itself! Love it! Here is my list only to name a few!
